Leicester City’s home clashes against Newcastle and Liverpool have been rescheduled for live TV coverage.

The Premier League have announced their TV games for April, and two matches at the King Stadium have been selected.

City’s home match with Newcastle will now be played on Monday, April 7, kicking off at 8pm. It will be shown live on Sky Sports.

And their clash against title favourites Liverpool at the King Power will now be on Sunday, April 20, kicking off at 4.30pm. Again, Sky Sports will show the game live.

The rest of City’s matches in April remain unchanged. It means the first game back after the March international break, away at Manchester City, is a 7.45pm kick-off on Wednesday, April 2.

The trip to Brighton is a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, April 12, and the huge game at Molineux against relegation rivals Wolves has surprisingly not been picked for live TV coverage, and so remains a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, April 26.

With both home games in April moved, it further limits the number of 3pm kick-offs City have had at the King Power Stadium this season.

By the end of April, just one of their last 13 home Premier League matches will have been a Saturday 3pm kick-off, the 2-0 defeat to Fulham in January. That’s a run of six months, going back to early October.

Broadcasters have not yet made their decisions for the final month of matches in May.

City face Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Ipswich and Bournemouth in the last four games as they battle for survival.
