Cleaning appliances can often seem like a daunting task, but one cleaning expert has shared how air fryers can be restored to their original condition with two simple tricks. With the popularity of air fryers showing no signs of waning, it's important to keep yours in top-notch condition.
It's advised to clean air fryers after each use, but sometimes this chore can be overlooked. To assist you in ensuring your gadget is thoroughly cleaned, cleaning influencer Jen, also known as @cleaningwithjen, revealed two different methods for eliminating all the grease.
In a TikTok video from January, Jen explained that her tips are for those whose air fryers are looking 'worse for wear', particularly if there's a significant build-up of grease. Firstly, if your air fryer's condition "isn't that bad", you'll need a degreaser and a sturdy scrubbing tool to "scrub the living daylights out of that drawer".
Jen recommended Fairy's Power Spray and an electric scrubber for the task. After that, rinse the air fryer basket under hot water and watch the dirt wash away down the sink, reports the Express.
However, if the air fryer's grease and grime prove too stubborn, you'll need to tackle it with something else. Jen said: "Now if the situation inside your air fryer drawer is grim and you've lost all hope, then this is what you're gonna do.
"Dishwasher tablet and some boiling hot water, leave it for 20 minutes and this will be your result. The dishwasher tablet will release the grime like nothing else.
"Then all you should need to do is to give it a quick wipe out and there you go, your drawers will be back to brand new in no time."
Jen stated in her video, which has garnered over 20,600 views. The Dustpan and Brush Store responded with a comment, noting: "The therapy watching this."
Mads advised caution by saying: "No not a quick wipe out after dishwasher tablet, the most thorough scrub and rinse ever so you don't leave those chemicals in there."
